Solar is helpful when boating to keep your cell phone working. I like to get calls and listen to music while I fish.

The portable charger can charge a Nook, Ipad, or other laptops. It would be helpful if there was a universal connector.

Stress free solar power is our choice for back up when power outages occur. Don't lose your freezer full of valuable food, because the lines went down. After hurricane Isabel we lost power for 10 days in Northern neck Virginia, lost $1,000 worth of frozen, there was no water or hot water, we did have kerosene lamps and battery powered flashlights. We reverted back to civil war technology. It happened in September so the temperature was ok. We cooked on the grill for several days. We brought home 5 gallon jugs of water. We had no tv, got up at sunrise, and went to bed at sundown. Our pet fish died in our acquarium due to a lack of water pumping.

solar power can be used to pump water from ponds and streams to irigate vegatables , and fruit at smaller micro farms to prevent crop failures during droughts with cisterns and stock tanks, soaker hoses, and timers to fulfill community supported agricultural clients, used with local farmers markets.
